Inflatable Cowboy Costume

I wore this to a halloween party and not only did I win best dressed it also makes everybody laugh. The illusion of riding the horse work very well and confuses a lot of people. The only down side of this costume is the size when fully inflated, it is NOT ideal for your averge horse party,as it is very large. Also walking in it can be tricky, especially on stairs. I would advise wearing the costume a couple of times before the horses for sale event.
New batteries last up to 6 hours powering the fan which is usually more than adiquite for most parties.

Some reviews suggest this product does not inflate properly. The first time we tried it, that's what we thought. Then (ahem) we read the instructions. What makes the difference is the two concealed ties on the inside of the legs down at ankle level. Pulling these tight (plus the more obvious one at the waist) meant that the horse fully inflated within about 30 seconds. The instructions also point out that when you move about, air will get out of the body and it will go slightly floppy as the built-in blower struggles to keep up horses, but for the money this is brilliant, and it can be inflated properly assuming there are no cuts or tears in the material. Can't yet speak for the longevity of the blower, but no complaints so far!

Overall this product is very good value and can be used for any event requiring fancy dress.

Really Nasty Horse Racing Game

I bought this as I was looking for a new board game - something I hadn't played before and something that wasn't the normal sort of boardgame that people tend to play.

Let me tell you - one game of this and you'll be hooked. It's so good I bought a 2nd copy of it to keep safe just in case I wear the original out and the company end up going bust.

The basic premise is that you've each got a horse, there are 6 races/cups with varying prize money levels and you have a choice of form (1-6) that can only be used once. There are also lane cards that dictate which racing lane you will be in for that race.

Do you use your best horse on the cup with the biggest pot or do you go against the grain and save your best for that dead cert low end pot that nobody else will bother with?

Based on your lane and your form the odds chart is drawn up, you are able to make one bet per race (its secret till the end of the race), you can get money from either winning the race with your own horse or betting on the winner.

Sounds pretty straightforward doesn't it?

That's where the Really Nasty cards come in.

There are several fences around the course, there are Really Nasty cards that allow you to make a rider fall from the horse, losing the race. You've got a bet on the winner? he's almost there and happens to land on the last fence with your opponent betting on the horse coming in 2nd you may find that your dead cert ends up dead in the water.

Fantastic game, needs to be played by adults as it can get quite heated and emotional. Turns the regular idea of the board game on it's head.

I can't recommend this enough. Buy it now.

I Love Ponies - Honey My Baby Pony

Father Christmas bought "Honey" for my 9 year old daughter this Christmas and it has become one of her favourite toys.

Firstly, Honey is beautifully soft and tactile and just the right size for a cuddle on someone's lap. She feels silky to touch and has a sweet face. She's very slightly out of proportion with a big head and little legs but this doesn't bother my daughter.

Honey - like FurReal toys - has various pressure points (on her back, on her nose, and inside her mouth) which make her move her head, nuzzle into you, whinny, and make a crunching noise as if she's munching a carrot. She comes with a carrot which you pop inside her mouth.

Slightly misleadingly, I thought from the picture on the box that she opened her mouth herself, but she doesn't. Her mouth is quite stiff to begin with and you feel as if you're forcing the carrot into her mouth. You also have to get the carrot into just the right place to make her make the munching sound, so don't worry if you don't get it first time.

I'd have liked her to do a bit more for the money, perhaps swish her tail or open her mouth, but my daughter is just delighted with her, so that's the main thing!

She's certainly been a well-loved toy so far and by the way she gets tenderly tucked up at night, I'd say she's not likely to be a flash in the pan, so highly recommended.
